Review of First Blood (1982) by Céline D — 09 Nov 2010
It has all the ingredients a premo action flick needs...
1) Sylvester Stallone starring in your film will always be awesome!
2) 'Nam war veteran uses his deadly skills to defeat an entire town's police force.
3) Random traps, big knives, bigger guns and again, a cat named Stallone.
You can't go wrong on any of the Rambo's. As I said in the Cobra review, if you want an epic piece, a rom- com, a smart and intelligent drama, then stay away from movies with Stallone on the front holding a gun, or in this case with machine gun bullets draped over his chest with a random explosion in the background.
First Blood is actually an intelligent action flick with a great premise. The three that follow though are mindless action, but even then it's still awesome.
