Review of First Blood (1982) by Ossi T — 23 Feb 2011
Absolutly brilliant, substance and cinographic perfect match. Vietnam is coming back to the US, and confronts it with the consequenses of a war they try to forget/ignor. Bad guy is not some russian, french or asian dude but an ideal american: a small town sherif.
Beautiful views on rough american mountain "jungle". Rambo didn't start but they push him and push him, bury him in a cave, but he comes out and then he wants to do damage, he shoots up the town with a massive M60, spectacular when he runs trough a police barricade (end of bridge; beautiful shot) with the army truck.
He actually does not kill one person (only by accident, the asshole that falls of the helicopter) the whole movie.
