Review of First Blood (1982) by Marc B — 17 Apr 2014
Rambo, chosen after Rimbaud the poet ... An interesting choice, Rambo is a man of few words, but at least he steaks to them. I've liked the Rambo trilogy but First Blood. Unfortunately it is the same old story even today, working class men standing for their country and what do they have in return? Someone like Rambo is not driven by money, he's a wanderer looking after a lost friendship, real friendship, the one you'll only find at war.
The first hour and the way they ostracize Rambo is the most interesting part of the movie for me.
