Review of First Blood (1982) by Max D — 19 Apr 2010
Well I gotta admit the movie really drawn me into John Rambo's experience. He's just minding his own business not hurting anyone and the police force has to be a bunch of pricks just cause he's a war veteran.
I swear I expected Rambo to slaughter cops left and right but he was a bit more "nicer" than I expected him to be. It's not about some hot shot guy who fights evil and gets a girl, it's the tale of a man who gets treated differently and gets even out of anger.
The ending speech also may catch others off guard Rambo just breaks down and ends the movie in an emotional note. The sequels just don't match it, they followed a more obvious typical action film format, they didn't have the same emotion as First Blood.
