Review of First Blood (1982) by Liam D — 19 Oct 2010
An underdeveloped but action packed film staring a youthful looking Sylvester Stallone. Rambo shows the problem some war veterans had adapting to life back home in America after the Vietnam War to great, and highly exaggerated effect.
Sly's ability to act seems to have plummeted in the years after First Blood's release, but nobody can question his commitment which, as always is 110%.
With some of the cut scenes added to the final release, First Blood could have been much improved, but it is still a very entertaining, violent and intelligent at times film.
