Review of Firestorm (2013) by Jerv R — 07 Oct 2018
Firestorm is Andy Lau at his finest. Lau plays a tough as nails cop who is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. This film is notable for being darker, grittier and significantly bloodier than previous Hong Kong action films, such as Cold War (2012).
The ending is quite nicely done, although a better fate could have been thought of for Gordon Lam's character. This film has excellent cast, score, action and visuals.
