Review of Firestarter (1984) by Gary G — 24 Nov 2008
This film boasts a kick ass electronic music score by Tangerine Dream and Drew Barrymore as a child who uses telekinesis to torch things on fire and read minds, especially when you piss her off. She's got extra sensory powers as a result of an experiment the government did on her parents.
An organization called The Shop gave her parents drugs to see if they could create some kind of super telekinetic soldiers. The movie centers around the chase and capture of little Charlie and her dad after they murder her mom (played by Heather Locklear).
It's pretty good 80's cheese and a fun Stephen King adaption.
