Review of Firecreek (1968) by Allan C — 24 Aug 2013
It's the only film where Henry Fonda and Jimmy Stewart appeared together. Stewart is a small town's part-time sheriff when outlaw Fonda shows up in town with his no-good gang. Sadly, this powerhouse pairing and solid set-up ends up being a rather dull western.
The film begin well and has a good final showdown, but the midsection of the film was quite slow and way overlong. Not terrible, but this could easily have been made a classic.
