Review of Firecreek (1968) by Harim K — 30 Aug 2010
1968 western with Fonda and Stewart facing off as villain and hero. Much the same plot as in Jimmie Stewart's early classic, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence.
Inger Stevens is an old flame of Henry Fonda who saves the day in this thriller that builds a slow but sure exciting end in a small town of the west. Lots of great wind sounds and dust too.
Thumbs up for this western with all the great supporting cast as well. Not a waste of your time, which is my criteria for a good movie.
