Following the success of the Office, and Reno 911, and other mockumentary styled comedy fare, Justin Lin's fun idea is just that, a fun idea. I think it would have been better in a television format, a mini-series, as none of the characters really had enough screen time for me to get attached.
If HBO had called Justin Lin when he was developing the film, I think it could have transferred into an excellent show, like Entourage but with real cult potential.
