Review of Finishing the Game: The Search for a New Bruce Lee (2007) by Hunter D — 26 Jul 2008
A really funny indie mockumentary about the casting call to replace Bruce Lee in 'Game of Death' after he died. It's not as funny or as outlandish as it could've been, but it says a lot about where Asian-Americans were in cinema after Bruce Lee's touch was still being felt by Hollywood.
The movie sort of putters out as it loses steam towards the end, but it never really wears out its welcome during its short running time. Don't listen to the haters. Kung-fu filn fans, Bruce Lee fans, and people interested in seventies cinema in general will enjoy this film.
