Review of Finding Vivian Maier (2014) by Peter A — 17 Apr 2014
NO SPOILERS - I strongly recommend seeing Finding Vivian Maier - not only is this previously-unknown artist's work simply mesmerizing (I was kinda missing my DVR controller in the theater, as it would've been nice to pause and absorb a few of her photos) but this story - of the artist as well as her art - is so worthy of being told.
I'm just grateful that the people who made this film (Siskel and Maloof) told it in the way they did. It was a solid piece of filmmaking. Besides, who doesn't love one of those documentaries that has a good position of its story unfold during the actual filming.
You can write they stuff. See it.
