Review of Finding Neverland (2004) by Alexander Z — 11 Jan 2010
Nothing about this moved me, except the actual scenes from the original play. Those are where the magic really shines through. All the rest feels so cold, so empty. It's just a bunch of bland leading up to an ending that's supposed to induce sadness and yet a childlike appreciation of fantasy.
But it doesn't. I'd rather just watch the original play again. So sad for a film as well-acted as this.
