Review of Finding Nemo (2003) by Tatsuhito K — 02 Jul 2015
The gorgeous animation and top-notch voicework by its perfect cast are what makes Finding Nemo so lovely and fun and memorable. It's not one of my favorite Pixar movies, but there is so much to like about this adventurous tale of a clownfish trying to find his kidnapped son: The heartwarming father-and-son story, the quirky humor, the lovable characters (Ellen DeGeneres, Willem Dafoe, and Geoffrey Rush are all excellent as Dory, Gill, and Nigel), beautiful and colorful visuals that kept me going oohh and aahh, and the subtle message about environmental issues.
It's terrific family entertainment.
