Review of Finding Amanda (2008) by Aislinn D — 12 Sep 2008
This was pretty bad. I thought the premise was interesting. A man with gambling problems (Matthew Broderick) tries to convince his wife that he can change by doing her the favor of looking for his niece who is working as a hooker in Vegas.
Interesting. Now, the biggest problem with this movie is that the main character is so unlikable. Maybe he was witty line a couple of times and all that (he was playing a TV sitcom writer or something) but he always lied and he was just generally unsympathetic.
Brittany Snow plays the prostitute Amanda. She is decent and there are some scenes that really show Snow's talent but she is basically one of those characters that don't really evolve at all. Anyways, I don't recommend it.
