Review of Find Me Guilty (2006) by Jon C — 16 Mar 2008
Many thought "What the hell is Sidney Lunet doing hiring Vin Diesel?" and they thought that with reason. No one would ever have imagined putting together an Oscar-winning legendary director with Diesel, who is better known for his body than his mediocre body of work. Yet, here they are...together.
And it works.
Based on the longest mafia trial in American history, much of the script having been wirtten directly from the court transcripts, Diesel is imperfect, but showed that he actually does have some talent beyond flexing and playing tough.
Not an extraordinarily entertaining film, but well done regardless, and it seeing Diesel act was, in many ways, a treat.
