Review of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (2005) by Kyle R — 07 Jan 2012
Let me get this clear, this movie makes absolutely no damn sense whatsoever. Even if you have played through Final Fantasy VII on the PlayStation numerous times you will still be scratching your head in confusion.
Advent Children manages to redeem itself with its impressive visuals, and over the top action sequences. The voice acting can be cringe worthy in areas, but you can always switch to the Japanese original voice track if they ever get too grating.
In the end the only people who are really gonna be into this movie are the Final Fantasy fans, such as myself, and to that extent this movie doesn't disappoint. Everybody else just might as well steer clear.
