Review of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (2005) by Úna-Minh C — 17 Jul 2012
The story isn't bad, but it's nonsensical to say the least. I know it's a Final Fantasy plot so it shouldn't have to make sense, but GOD does it suck. The animation looks great, but it makes everything look grey, and it makes the characters look more like what they are, emos! Seriously, the characters suck! They cry about everything, especially Cloud who won't smile even after having defeated Sephiroth in the game Final Fantasy VII.
The music and action are cool, but the action is generic for Final Fantasy standards. But it did inspire the gameplay mechanic for Dissidia Final Fantasy, which would come out 4 years later.
