*Warning*.

A little spoilers ahead :D.

In Final Destination 5, a group of workers survive a deadly accident when Sam.

(D'Agosto) has a premonition of the bridge collapsing before it actually happens.

But they soon realize, they can never cheat death.

The film this time, surprising starts out with a trippy, yet homage to all the films in a simple way (Similar to what David R. Ellis did in the 4th) and still was entertaining with orchestra & rock mixed together. A real intense feeling you get, which reflects on the film itself.

We get to know all the characters attitudes and feelings in the introduction. The prep (Fisher) The Bad ass (Wood) The gymnastic (wroe) The Comedian (Koechner) The seductive (Byrne) The defender (Escarpeta) the heartbreaker (Bell) & of course, The ONE (D'Agosto).

Lets start with the Bridge scene. We have Steve Quale, the guy who helped James Cameron with Avatar, creates something breath taking and so intense that it could beat FD2's Infamous car pile up. The visual effects are impressive as ever and the clever death's are as GIRL AT A JUSTIN BEIBER CONCERT fun as they can be!

When we come to the death scenes. We are brought with most intense Final Destination deaths as ever, including Ellen Wroe's gymnastic death + the most gut wrenching (in 3D) Jacqueline M. Wood's eye lazier surgery gone wrong, it's hard to not love this movie. Until we get towards the climax. Things start to become slow, and we are taken a twist that we never really seen towards any of the other films as the concept "Kill or be killed" comes into place. I wouldn't say it didn't work. But I wouldn't say it was handled well. Also another twist comes into place as something else "Different" to the franchise too. Which worked well, but rather a predictable setting. Well, isn't this what the FD series is all about?

The acting. Don't get me started on the acting here. We get a mixed batch. Here we have these talented actors like David Koechner who is F*cking hilarious, and Tony Todd who is still creepy as hell. (Don't forget P.J Byrne's character who is a funny slap stick guy that is.. well... a player) But we get the usual mellow dramatic actors like Miles Fisher (Who wasn't to bad for his film debut) but I was pretty disappointed when it came to Nicholas D'Agosto & Emma Bell. Jacqueline's character never lives up to her bas ass reputation & Ellen Wroe's character is a bit, no important. But I'm guessing that's all pointed to the filmmaking debut director Steve Quale.

Steve Quale is all about the Special Effects. You can admit that one. But he's not all 100% into the direction of the dialogue. I feel as if he just told the actors to say words and not connect & bond everyone together, which we are brought with mixed up tones of everybody else's sense of direction. But all I have to say is, this is his film debut. (and it's a final destination film).

The 3D could actually be worth the experience we are presented here. The pop ups mostly occurred in the Title sequence & parts through out the film but the depth was the show off here when we are almost throwing up at the dizzy (Yet awesome) bridge collapse.

Overall, this film out stands the plain an simple 3rd FD & definitely out stands the horrid 4th one. But is at a same level with the one that started it all and it's first sequel. Maybe a bit weak. But the Visual effects on this baby makes it a keeper. If you are a fan or just a guy at home who has a 3D t.v (Me) I'd give this a watch with the expectation that you have watched the other ones. Do not expect the best story in the world, do not expect the best acting in the world. Just sit down, relax, make some pop corn and be dazzled by the effort they have put into this. And wait, don't forget the GORE!!

Acting- 7/10.

Storyline- 7/10.

Entertainment/Visual effects - 9/10.

Gore- 8.5/10.

Overall- 8/10.
