Review of Final Destination 5 (2011) by Laura P — 16 Jun 2012
I'm not sure what it was, whether it was that I knew the premise of the film and was expecting everything to happen, or just that the acting of the main characters was fairly average, but I wasn't hugely excited by this film.
The plot was mediocre but very predictable, and although some interesting moral issues were raised, they were overshadowed by the inability for the actors to convey it with a sense of seriousness. I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to be laughing or shocked, but a large portion of the time I was just being lightly entertained with no sense of purpose.
The film as a whole is not a BAD film by any means, just not one that captivated me in any way and definitely not the best of the franchise.
