Review of Final Cut (1993) by Aoi V — 23 Aug 2008
Ironically choppy for a movie starring a talented video editor. The brilliant basis concept for this film was wasted on a dull screenplay and equally forgettable characters. Robin Williams does an excellent job portraying the obsessive nature and partial insanity experienced by his character, yet his talents alone aren't enough to maintain tangible audience interest in this movie.
I do want to see a remake of this sometime in the future, perhaps even with Williams reprising his role; hopefully they'll get it right the second time around and do this wonderfully unique concept for a sci-fi thriller jusice.
