Review of Final Cut (1993) by Rob J — 10 May 2012
A flawed film, but one that raises some interesting ideas about constant surveillance via technology and the right to not be recorded. In fact, given the prominence of things like life-casting and Facebook's Timeline in which our every thought or action can be preserved for prosperity, this film is even more poignant now than when it was first released.
Terrible ending though, and it features a pet hate of mine: the attractive younger woman in a romantic clinch with an unattractive older man, several decades her senior.
