Bruce Robertson (James McAvoy) is a scheming corrupt, drug addled Edinburgh detective in line for a serious promotion and he will let no one get in his way off it, no matter what it will take.
Never has a movie title been so apt. McAvoy spends the entire movie as the most deprived drug addled, corrupt copper imaginable, if he's not snorting coke he's having sex with hookers, engaged in bondage, hallucinating his way through his insane world. Funny, very grim, the most un-festive 'Christmas' movie imaginable, and an astonishing performance from McAvoy.
