Review of Filth (2013) by Jamie J — 20 Feb 2014

I went in expecting a dark, black comedy with serious undertones and came out surprised (in a good way) Filth manages to be utterly deplorable, but that is kind of the point, and yet has a dark, downtrodden soul at it's shrivelled core.

It's hard to say anything about it without spoiling anything, but McAvoy's performance as the rotten cop heading further down the spiral is utterly compelling. Must watch something a bit less grim now though.
