Filth shows a man who is losing himself and can't get a hold of reality enough to overcome his guilt and how it slowly eats away at him until he is at his lowest. Mcavoy's performance is honest and amazing.
He shows a character with many sides and even through the disgusting behavior, shows the humanity in a character with which if put in a lesser actor, could have not been possible. Filth is worth the look and should definitely not be judged by it's cover.
