Review of Filth (2013) by Bill M — 26 Apr 2014
A really dirty, grotty, dark comedy, featuring a powerhouse turn by James McAvoy as disgusting, drug snorting, scheming and completely unhinged police officer Bruce Robertson, an incredible turn from the actor and a horribly compulsive character, this is great nasty, demented fun, a black hearted as comedies come but with a truly sad and moving side to it that makes it stick with you after all the cocaine, dirty prozzies and vomit have subsided.
Filth is unique, hilarious, gross and tragic a portrayal of a very fucked up human being.
