A corrupt and drug dependant police officer has quite an interesting life that is complex and intricate. He is trying to bring down a serial killer, secure a promotion, get along with a partner despite sleeping with his partner's wife, and win back his ex-wife and kid. The officer's dark checkered past and present may keep him from achieving any of his goals.
"Get your face off my cock!".
Jon Baird, director of Cass and episodes from the television series The State We're In and Babylon, delivers Filth. The storyline for this picture was actual more intricate than I anticipated. I adored the main character and the script and dialogue was so good. The overall execution of the movie could have been better and I thought there would be more action, but the acting was very good. The cast includes James McAvoy, Jamie Bell, Eddie Marsan, Imogen Poots, Brian McCardie, and Gary Lewis.
"I have to spend a penny.".
I read the storyline for this picture on Netflix and decided to give it a shot. This has elements like Trainspotting but wasn't quite as interesting (this film is often compared to Trainspotting since it is the same writer for both films). Overall, this is an above average picture that is well thought-out and worth a viewing but not worth adding to your DVD collection.
