Review of Filth (2013) by Lovro H — 05 Jan 2015
This could possibly, for me, be one of the best movies I've seen! It is really different than anything else I've seen over the past few years. Firstly, I'd like to point out James McAvoy, who was just freaking brilliant! His portrayal of Bruce Robertson was stunning! He should've gotten an Oscar for this.
Secondly, the story is really obscure and just weird. It constantly suprises you with it's very disturbing and shocking scenes, as well as those who are hillarious, but very 'black humour-ish'.
It moved a nice pace, nothing felt rushed or too slowed down. "WTF!?", this sums up the movie's ending, and I don't want to spoil anything, but that ending was just plain sick! Thirdly, the soundtrack is quite good and even if it doesn't always fit the mood of the movie, it is very enjoyable to listen to.
All in all, this was a very great movie! It has thriller, comedy, drama and horror elements in it. Would reccomend deffinetely, if not squeamish, that is...
