Review of Filth (2013) by Hakeem J — 14 Feb 2015
"Sometimes it takes a wrong doer to show you when you're doing wrong.".
This Edinburgh based film took me on a painfully nostalgic ride down a painfully Scottish road. This translation of Irvine Welsh's absurdly offensive novel "Filth" was beautifully depicted, paced, brilliantly shot, and masterfully carried out by leading man James McAvoy.
It's definitely not for everybody. And that's alright with me.
