Review of Fighting with My Family (2019) by Tony1984 — 09 Jul 2019

Apparently based on a true story though it feels about as real as the televised wrestling it seeks to promote. It's as formulaic and predictable as an episode of Baywatch. The Full Monty prescription is applied as is common with British comedy.

Same lower class English people in a drab city with hearts of gold. Helping multiracial and blind kids stay away from drugs and general do-goodery with crude humour. Middle class priggs naturally appear and find their inner vulgarity ,which is a good thing seemingly? Then it's the moral crisis, the failure and the mawkish redemption all the way to the obligatory happy ending.

A few smiles but all in all nothing special. If you are a wrestling fan you'll enjoy it but if not I very much doubt it.
