Review of Fight Club (1999) by Cameron M — 10 Feb 2015
Welcome to Fight Club.
An insomniac businessman lives a single, boring life, and he would do anything to solve his sleep disorder. He goes to self help groups in order to resolve his issues, but quickly a woman starts doing the same thing and ruins his experience. He meets a man during a business trip that changes his life forever; and together, they create something called a Fight Club that becomes more than a club, it becomes a movement.
"Every evening I died and every evening I was born again.".
David Fincher, director of Gone Girl, Se7en, The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Zodiac, Aliens 3, Panic Room, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, delivers Fight Club. The storyline for this picture is brilliantly crafted, delivered, and well written. The acting is also magnificent and each person in the cast delivers splendid performances. The cast includes Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Meatloaf, Helena Bonham Carter, and Jared Leto.
"It's only after we lose everything we're free to do anything.".
I recently came across this picture on HBOGO and saw this was coming down in January and had to watch it again. This is a masterpiece and definitely worth adding to your DVD collection. This is so deep and contains messages about society, values, and inner self value. This is a must see and must own gem.
"I haven't been fucked like that since grade school.".
Grade: A+.
