Review of Fight Club (1999) by Bill G — 19 Dec 2018
This film shows us the difference between living a normal boring 9-5, M-F job and living out a testosterone fueled male fantasy. Our protagonist going to ï¿ 1/2 1/2Self Helpï¿ 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2Â? and alcoholics anonymous groups shows us how lonely he is.
Marla seems like an odd match for our protagonist, sheï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s wearing black and heï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s wearing white. Tyler Durden obviously represents male fantasy, testosterone, being ï¿ 1/2 1/2hipï¿ 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2Â? The ï¿ 1/2 1/2Fight Clubï¿ 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2Â? represents Men being frustrated with relationships, careers, etc.
Tyler Durden beginning to ï¿ 1/2 1/2dateï¿ 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2Â? our protagonistï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s love interest, shows us that he is the superior, the alpha of the two. ï¿ 1/2 1/2Fight Clubï¿ 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2Â? turning into project mayhem shows us manï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s lust for power [Spoilers] The protagonist realizing that he is Tyler Durden represents the duality of Man, we have both good an evil within our hearts, if choose to, you could persue wealth, pride, pleasure, and honor as much as you possibly could Tyler Durden built an empire of men working hard to follow ï¿ 1/2 1/2The American Dreamï¿ 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2Â? Edward Nortonï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s character didnï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)t like the corruption of this organization so he ï¿ 1/2 1/2got ridï¿ 1/2 1/2ï¿ 1/2Â? of Tyler Durden.
Edward Nortonï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s Character is reunited with Marla his love interest They watch [Censored], this represents Tyler Durden's love/hate relationship with capitalism/power .
