Review of Fiend Without a Face (1958) by Bryan W — 02 Sep 2007
Telepathic brain creatures from another dimension, sucking out your grey matter in order to sate their unearthly appetites! An outstanding 1950s monster movie, this is the film that your parents and grandparents talked about in hushed tones. It was rejected by many movie theatres in the US and even banned outright in Sweden because of its horrific content.
By today's standards Fiend Without a Face is a somewhat tame, but still well worth a look. Watch it alone, in the dark, and see if you don't feel the odd shudder of apprehension as you later climb the stairs to bed...
