If you didn't love baseball before seeing this movie, you will afterwards. This is a beautiful, beautiful story and a lovely film. The music and cinematography are super. Don't let Kevin Costner put you off.
He does really well in this film and the rest of the cast is brilliant. James Earl Jones never disappoints. I have watched this movie many times and it still bears a fascination for me which defies description.
It's one of the reasons I have come to love baseball.
