An endearing picture from an endearing year in movies, 1989. The voices and the ghosts kind of makes the viewer wonder whether Kevin Costner's character had a gas leak in his house at the beginning of the movie, but in the end you will need those tissues more than you think.
Not to mention, Amy Madigan's character kicks ass as his wife who stands up for her husband and against censorship in their town in Iowa. Burt Lancaster and James Earl Jones are amazing supporting characters.
