Review of Field of Dreams (1989) by Padraig G — 11 Apr 2011
Makes you want to look back and have a catch.
This movie is about a farmer named Ray Kinsella who hears a voice saying "If you build it he will come." The object of this field is pretty much fulfillment of dreams. Make up for what you wish you had done in the past Field Of Dreams is the way you go.
This movie was probably one of the best sports movies I have ever seen... and I've seen some pretty good ones, Rocky, Rudy, The Blind Side, etc... and this was the BEST.
The score in this movie was fantastic, just thought I'd throw that in there.
I also like the scenery... I believe this must've been filmed IN Iowa because living here in Omaha, Nebraska, Iowa is our next door neighbors and that is exactly what Iowa looks like.
Kevin Costner atleast managed to be a little different in this role... still needs to work on his accents though he's failed a Boston accent and a Midwest accent but thats alright he just has a very distinct voice.
The fact that this movie didn't win best picture is suprising because I loved it. I have never seen Driving Miss Daisy so I can't really say what should have won but I'll tell you this... I've seen Born on the Fourth of July and that was good but not fantastic like this was.
100% Nothing wrong, everything right.
