Review of Fido (2006) by Amy D — 07 Aug 2009
A touching story about a lonely boy who is constantly the target of bullies and whose father spends all his spare time on the golf course. His mother, in an effort to raise her family's social status, purchases a zombie. Timmy names the zombie Fido and they become fast friends. But it's not really Fido's fault when he eats the nasty lady next door and begins a wild zombie outbreak in the neighbourhood.
This movie was incredibly sweet in a really twisted way. The cast is amazing and the script is quirky and humorous without treating the audience like they're stupid. The best zombie film I've seen in years.
