Review of Fido (2006) by Uwe S — 04 Feb 2010
*Spoilers*.
What a great idea for a zombie movie. This is just a wonderful cast from top to bottom. Carrie-Ann Moss plays the 'Susie Homemaker' role to a T. Billy Conolly is a great lovable zombie. God I love Dylan Baker in everything he chooses to do, he is nothing short of great here. Henry Czerny (Mr. Bottoms) cracked me up so much. One of my favorite characters was Mr.Bottom's daughter Cindy Bottoms played by Alexia Fast, she was perfect in this and so funny when she was pulling her dad on the leash. K'Sun Ray was wonderful as well. I am truly impressed with this cast.
I also love the controversial undertones in this, for instance the dad giving his son a handgun before he drops him off for school and then giving him bullets, the mother protecting her son by shooting the bullies, the neighbor who's into necrophilia.
A+.
