Viola Davis and Denzel Washington deliver yet another set of powerhouse performances. The story is filled with emotional crossroads. I felt that Denzel simply filmed a stage production. there were no real risks in the filmmaking or the techniques used.
I think he wanted the script to speak for itself, but it left me wanting more.
