Review of Fences (2016) by Private U — 13 Feb 2017
First thoughts: It was dialogue intensive. But as the story is told, it becomes less of an issue as you explore the range of emotions in each of the characters. Their dynamics filled with regret, anger, frustration, sorrow, loneliness and pride.
.. Denzel and Viola need an Academy each for their roles... Viola in particular was outstanding in my opinion, with the sadness filling her eyes and in one particular scene she draws you in to the depths of her soul.
Well adapted from stage to screen. Go see it.
