Review of Fences (2016) by Mario C — 12 Jan 2017
If you want to see Denzel Washington talk a mile a minute and make an ass out of himself for two hours, this movie is for you. This movie has nothing but dialogue and strange camera angles. In fact, most of it takes places in a backyard. There are a few minute long scenes at a hospital and in the house, but that's about it. There is no plot, no climax, no rising or falling action, and it is easily the most depressing movie I have seen in a long time.
The one redeeming thing about this movie is Viola Davis. Her performance is Oscar worthy and the only reason that I didn't walk out of this movie.
