Review of Fences (2016) by Carlos L — 10 Feb 2017

"Fences" is a strongly character driven film, that although had little action and long dialogue, managed to intrigue me so much. The performances of the entire cast were so spectacular that they had me hooked.

Denzel Washington did such an amazing job as the lead, he had me despise him so much. Viola Davis was a force and she woved the entire movie and brought out its elements. I'm glad I took the time to watch it.

A very human work, a movie that played out as a stage piece, a journey to the past and into a man's struggling life.
