I think that this movie should be a "required must see" for EVERY Black household in 2017, much like The Color Purple and Roots were "required must sees" when I was growing up. This movie was GREAT and Denzel and Viola acted their asses off! I fell in LOVE with Viola's character and could see a lot of myself in her.
On the other hand, Denzel... man... He made you like, love, hate and feel sorry for his character all at the same damn time. After seeing this movie, I am a firm believer that we ALL have now, have had or have experienced a Troy in our lives in some capacity - either you are Troy, was raised by a Troy, raised a Troy or have been in a relationship of some kind with a Troy.
GREAT MOVIE!!! I ACTUALLY PAID TO SEE IT TWICE AT THE THEATER!!
