This is John Waters greatest movie by far. The characters are fully realized. The heterophobic Aunt Ida is an absolute riot. There should be more people like her in real life. Mink Stole gets to deliver the best comeback line in the history of film: "I would'nt suck your lousy dick if I was suffocating and there was oxygen in your balls!" Divine does her best work as the criminally chic Dawn Davenport.
