Having watched four or five Fassbiner film I can see that he is an acquired taste. And I unfortunately haven't got it. He seems to wallow in his own darkness and filth (which is something I love about the Dardenne Brothers, strangely).
To which I can only admire him, I cannot enjoy or engage with him.
