I was completely bored. I still can't tell you the point of the storyline. I don't enjoy drug movies because they tend to be centred on weak pitiable people and I have no use in watching them deprave themselves. I see enough of them in real life. So unfortunately, I couldn't wait for the end of the movie which is too bad because I normally love Depp and enjoy Del Toro.

I will say that it was very ambitious. There were a lot of special effects and generally strange gimmicks attempted to bring to life here that arguably worked.
