Excellent adaptation for the screen of Hunter S. Thompson's masterpiece autobiographic novel. Please be advised that your capacity to appreciate this film will be limited if you have not read the novel in which it's based.
This is the root cause of this film being largely underappreciated by critics and amateur reviewers.
