Review of Fay Grim (2007) by Jonathan H — 04 Aug 2007
Really great, quirky indie film. Hal Hartley back on form after a couple of disappointments, great performances from Parker Posey, Jeff Goldblum and James Urbaniak. The film loses its way a little towards the end, but this is a funny, touching and ultimately a rather sad film.
Hartley's best since Henry Fool. However, probably best to have seen Henry Fool first, as the character relationships aren't really given much background. Watch it!
