Review of Fatal Attraction (1987) by Rory D — 05 May 2009
Falls between entertainment and statement. Falters towards the end, where it opts out for a ( literal) slasher ending. While performances were good, what the direction did with those performances is dissapointing.
Cliche eventually wins out over the intrigue that was so good at the beggining. it leaves what was good charater development behind and lets action and cheap thrill tell us what to experience. Could've been truly classic.
