Review of Fata Morgana (1972) by Michael O — 03 Aug 2009
The last of three early masterpieces from Werner Herzog... In fact, when you think about 'Lebenzeichen' (Signs of Life'), 'Even Dwarfs Started Small' and this wonder, Herzog's career has been on something of a downward spiral for the last 40 years!
The film is a hypnotic reflection on the enormity of our world and its diversity... not the namby-pamby diversity of today, but a real hilosophical and physical diversity. FAbulous!
